It is my opinion that this drug should not be taken without carefully considering the tradeoff and risks and after carefully considering the previous sentence.I was prescribed this for mild tremors and high blood pressure. Because of how it works the maximum amount ever in your body is 60/65% of 80 mg and so you are not comparing like with like when you replace one with the other. For some people they are too sensitive to the effects of withdrawal and it takes a lot longer. In contrast, after propranolol on day 0, the CD25 decreased significantly two- to fivefold below baseline from days 4 to 14 (BAS) and after metoprolol two- to threefold below baseline from days 2 to 8. Like many other prescription drugs, Beta blocker users who stop abruptly may experience some rebound effects known as withdrawal symptoms. I've also read that it can take a full two weeks for your body to relearn its responses when propranolol is fully out of your system. as being in breach of those terms. In terms of stopping the drug after a few days you will probably be fine but should monitor any symptoms closely and work with your doctor just to be safe.
