I had read on medical sites that the "naturally" stomachs are the size of a fist, but they do stretch quite a bit, and there is probably a lot of natural variation, too. Which leads me to wonder whether heartburn is something suffered by those who eat small volume meals, or small snacks throughout the day, since they're less likely to have developed a larger or more elastic stomach through arduous, gluttonous training.
